The Easter Bunny Hopped Through Hope Village

When children think back over their childhood, often it is special holiday celebrations which stand out in their memories.  Knowing that holidays provide unique opportunities to make our children feel loved and special, our staff and Guild go to extra lengths to make sure that each one is memorable for them.

Our staff and Guild ladies gathered little gifts and assembled almost 40 Easter baskets this year!  When you think of how much effort goes into doing just one, it is easy to understand why Hope Village has an army of volunteers to call upon when we need them.  Led by Donna Ulmer, our Guild ladies stuffed each basket with colored grass, gifts such as beach towels and flip-flops, and enough candy to satisfy the biggest sweet tooth.  We are grateful for their help – especially when you look at the assembly line that they created to get the project completed!

Our kids enjoyed diving into their baskets Easter morning.  Some attended church services of their choosing, and everyone participated in a large Easter lunch that afternoon.
